Brathay Lodge is situated towards central Ambleside, within a few minutes’ walk of over 30 eateries offering a wide range of cuisine.  There are also numerous gourmet restaurants and inns within a short drive of Ambleside - something for all tastes and all budgets. For that reason we have decided to specialise in deluxe guest accommodation on a B & B basis only. Most of our guests visiting Ambleside tend to leave their cars on our large private off-road car park for the duration of their stay, preferring to take advantage of our proximity and enjoy the many local walks during the day and the restaurants and bars of the evening. Alternatively our sister company can provide you with accommodation in Coniston at Orchard Cottage B&B and cottages.

Walkers / mountain bikers / golfers etc... like Brathay Lodge's informality and enjoy the facilities on offer and if it's wet or muddy, there is always a place to dry out those wet clothes and footwear overnight.
